Top Twitter Unfollow Tools to Remove Inactive, Nonfollowers
Within the past few years, Twitter grew very fast. Therefore, many people, especially webmasters, business owners and internet marketers paid their close attention to Twitter over other social networks.
In the beginning, there was not a huge crowd on Twitter. But, after increasing the traffic of Twitter.com in day by day, the organic reach of Twitter decreased significantly. (decreased clicks and engagements)

If you have a few thousands of Twitter followers and you follow a few hundreds of active Twitter users, you would know what I mean. In every second, hundreds of Tweets flooded to homepage. So it is harder to market your business on Twitter.
But, it can be done. You need to use specific Twitter marketing strategies for that.
One core of any social media strategy is having a good, quality follower-base.
What I mean by quality followers?
It doesn’t make a sense if you have 100,000+ followers, but doesn’t have the engagement; Not getting retweets, clicks, replies etc.
And one way to determine your Twitter account’s quality (and of course the authority) is analyzing the people who you follow on Twitter. If you follow untargeted, inactive people on Twitter, so you will not get quality, informative tweets as you anticipated.
That’s where you should pay your attention to Twitter unfollow.
4 Realistic Reasons Why you should unfollow people on Twitter
There might have lots of reasons why you have to unfollow people on Twitter. Here are my personal thoughts why you should be unfollowing people on Twitter.
Reason #1: Follow for Follow, But they unfollow you:
This is one of the reasons you might have to remove followers on Twitter. There are lots of occasions other people promise you that they will follow you back, once you followed them on Twitter. But, suddenly, after a few days or weeks, you can’t find them on your Twitter followers list. It is similar to cheating. So you do not want to deal with this type of people.
Reason #2: Inactive Twitter followers:
I don’t know any other reason why you shouldn’t unfollow inactive Twitter followers. Even they are targeted Twitter followers, if their latest Twitter update is a few months ago and don’t get a reply for your retweet, what are the reasons that prevent you from unfollowing those inactive Twitter users? The best example for this is Apple’s official Twitter account. Signed up to Twitter back in 2011, but not yet any single tweet published. Questionable, right?
Reason #3: Spammers:
As any community and business model, when it grows, proves it can generate leads, sales etc., spammers tap into that field. It is the style of this world. Wonder if we can fix this!
The best example for this is email marketing. How many spam emails do you receive on each day? Like that, Twitter has become one spot of spammers. If you followed someone on Twitter who tweets related to nudity, hacking etc, you should (or must) remove them from your Twitter followers list. Not only that, do you follow someone who doesn’t have an avatar and have thousands of fake followers with just a few tweets? So he might be a spammer.
There are lots of Twitter automation tools and methods to increase the magic number of Twitter followers. You shouldn’t be a fan/follower of those people. Isn’t it?
Reason #4: Nontargeted Twitter users:
When you follow some people on Twitter, your homepage feed starts filling with tweets. That’s the organic reach. That is not a problem. But, the question is when you start getting nontargeted Tweets. For an example, I am in Internet marketing and blogging field. And I also like technology, sports, News etc. But, I don’t like to get unrelated tweets outside of my favorite fields/niches so often. Another example is, if you understand only English language, so following people who speak Arabic, Spanish, Hindi and Tamil don’t add value for either your Twitter profile and your life. The best way to get rid of those issues is unfollowing nontargetd Twitter followers.
These are the reasons why you have to unfollow people on Twitter. You might have more reasons such as your Twitter followings only tweets commercial ads, etc. But, the best way is understanding people before hit the follow button. So you can ensure that your Twitter profile is clean & clear and you don’t need constantly check Twitter profiles for unfollowing people.
